March 14th, 2011
Seven-time Grammy Award-winning performer Gladys Knight will headline in a special engagement at the newly transformed Tropicana Las Vegas, beginning Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
The show, produced by Freestyle Mac, will take place in the newly named Gladys Knight Theater, formerly known as the Tiffany Theater. Knight will showcase her fan favorites, such as "Midnight Train to Georgia," as well as newer hits including her December 2010 single "Settle." She will be joined by four singers and dancers during the show, alongside an 11- piece band. Merald "Bubba" Knight, one of the original members of the Pips, will be featured as part of Knight's show, as well. "I'm thrilled to be returning to the Las Vegas Strip and am very happy to be coming back home. It's always been a dream of mine to have my own showroom and I'm excited to showcase songs ranging from both my greatest hits to my new album," said Knight.
She will be releasing a new album in late spring or early summer. She has teamed up again with Producer Randy Jackson, whom she previously worked with on her album released in 2000, At Last.
