Biography
A seven-time Grammy Award-winner, Gladys Knight began her illustrious career as the lead vocalist of Gladys Knight & The Pips, with whom she recorded such hits as "Every Beat of My Heart," "I Heard it Through the Grapevine," "If I Were Your Woman," "Best Thing to Ever Happen to Me," and the #1 smash "Midnight Train to Georgia."
Since then, she has gone on to record more than 38 albums, scoring #1 hits in pop, R&B and Adult Contemporary music.
A versatile performer, Knight's television, film, and stage credits include 30 Rock, Tyler Perry's I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF, and a starring run on Broadway in the hit musical SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ.
Last year, she ended a critically-acclaimed four-year run performing nightly at the famed Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
She is currently working on a new album with producer Randy Jackson, with whom she previously collaborated on the Grammy-winning "At Last."
